My blog has a new home!

If you have been following my blog for some time, you may have noticed that I've been quiet for some time now.  This is not because I've neglected blogging, it's simply because my blog has found a new home!  One that I'm very excited about.  For some time now, I've been finding ways to use my website as my blog as well.  This way, visitors won't have to leave my website, to visit my blog.  It'll all be in one place! So not only does my website have a new domain (it changed from .co.za to .com), I'll also using it as my blog.  If you can't find my blog on it, however, check the navigation bar, click on blog (I've circled it above to make it a bit more easier to find) and it'll take you straight to my recent posts!  If  my website shows a bit differently on your browser, feel free to drop me an email and I'll be happy to help you find it.  Thank you so much for all your support and for following my work, I do hope you like my new blog.

Styled shoots - Introduction

As most of you may (or may not) know, I've been finding myself in two places a lot over the past two years.  I call them both home.  One of these places are Port Elizabeth, the other a small town in the Northern Cape called De Aar.  When I'm in the latter I find myself void of inspiration.  You see, De Aar is an extremely dry and colourless karoo town.  Great for rest, but bit poor for creative productivity.

I'm super excited!

1 November 2012, my best friend, Joy, gave birth to this absolutely beautiful little girl!  On the one hand I am so excited for her and her husband, on the other, I feel really sorry for them as they will have to put up with me and my camera for longer than they realize:)

A few weeks ago, I married my best friend, Neal.  The past few weeks has been the most amazing days of my life! I know it may seem like I’ve neglected my number one passion, photography, but I haven’t.  I guess I needed time to adjust to my COMPLETELY new lifestyle and all that comes with it, but I have not stopped taking photo’s!

 I have, however, made a few changes to how I present my work though. As I no longer am Davene Such (yes, that is correct – I am a tad bit old school, just a tad), I figured it best for me to change the name of my business as well  – my work does represent me and vice versa, after all. So for those who have been following me and my work, Davene Prinsloo is not some foreign person, it is the former Davene Such.  I tagged all my images from over, as you can see and I have a new blog now, which I hope you’ll like, but I still am as passionate as ever about the work I produce. 

I feel as though I am embarking on an entirely new journey, one I am extremely excited for.  Thank you so much for your continual support and appreciation of my work.  Here’s to creativity, passion, love and growth!
