I’ve been trying to photograph Zealia for a while now. She just get’s cuter by the day.
A few days ago, I was planning to go kidnap her from her
house – with her Senobia, mother’s permission of course. But before I could, her and Senobia came to
visit for a few days as it was my best friend, Joy’s, baby shower.
A day or two after the baby shower, I asked Senobia if I
could photograph Zealia and she delightfully agreed.
Even though I went to get them, at my mom’s place before
4. Senobia had to do some things and by
the time we got to the location it was just after 6 already (way after
sunset!!!). As sad and slightly fearful
as I was, anticipating bad lighting, I decided to proceed with the shoot. I have been wanting to do this a while, after
all. I was super grateful that I still
had a friend’s 85mm f/1.8 lens that I borrowed from him in my car! So thanx to
Mr 85 mm (for a lovely wide aperture), Devonia, Senobia and Nicole (for
cheering for Zealia’s attention behind me), I am super happy with the
photo’s. Hope you like them too :)
Zealia discovering rock art :)
Now she’s making me chase her, while she’s chasing the sound of her echo. Trying to explain to her there’s no one there was just not an option…love the mind of a child!
