Roslyn - Gothic Inspired Shoot

As promised, part 2 :)

Ok, so maybe this is not what you'll see on my blog everyday.  But in all honesty, I was quite thrilled when Roslyn explained to me what she wanted for our shoot.  I don't often get such requests, so my mind obviously started thinking/planning away.

Initially, Roslyn wanted to hire a ball gown and have a gothic shoot at a graveyard.  Obviously, I was a bit....let's call it weary (for lack of a better word), but Roslyn assured me that it would be fine, reminding me that's she's used to graveyard's (no, it's not anything like that, lol, she use to dated an undertaker for a number of years, so ja).  I still wasn't very convinced, but I eased into the idea soon.

In the end we went to a part of an oldish grave site in Port Elizabeth, now called 'The Ruins' and to a forest/lake, thereafter .  When we got to the second venue though, we were quite bumbed that all (or most of) the trees had been chopped off.  The site manager later informed me that they chopped them off because they were invasive.  I'm not sure how valid this is, but who am I to argue with the experts?

We still made the most of it though, with our without standing trees, and we had a blast.  I love trying out new things and I love flexible and adventurous people who are up to trying out new things...so I guess it goes without saying that I loved doing this shoot!
